I saw this recipe on a Tv show and i immediately tried making it as it looked very simple. It indeed was very quick and simple to make and gave a taste which was different from the usual ones. The cinamon flavour used in it was very tasty.




Ingredients

Vermicelli – 225 gm
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cashews – 10 – 15 – chopped
Almonds – 10 – 15 – chopped
Pistachios - 10- 15 – chopped
Sugar – 100 gm (approx)
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
Eggs – 3
Water as needed


Method

Take vermicelli in a bowl. Add boiling water on it so that it becomes soft but does not overcook. Strain it and keep it aside.

Take a non stick pan and heat ghee. Add all the nuts and sauté them. Add sugar. Make sure the nuts don’t burn. Once they are slightly roasted take it off the heat. Add it to the vermicelli. Give it a good mix. Add cinnamon Powder and mix well. Beat the eggs separately and add it to the vermicelli mixture. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish and bake it at 180 C for about 25-30 mins or till done. Garnish it with crushed nuts.


My Notes

ü  You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar according to your taste.
ü  Keep checking the cake after 25 mins so that it does not get over baked.
