Vermicelli Pulav/Shavige Bath

Vermicelli – 1 cup
Water – 3 cups
Whole Garam masala( cloves – 2, cinnamon – ½ inch, bay leaf – 1, green cardamom - 2)
Onion – 1 – chopped
Green chillies – 2 – chopped
Ginger – garlic paste – 1 tsp
Vegetables (beans – 5 , carrot – 1 small, potato –1 small, Peas - handful)
Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
Oil – 4 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing.
Firstly boil water in a pan . Add vermicelli, 1 tsp of oil and some salt. Keep watching it so that it does not get over cooked. Once done, strain the vermicelli and run cold water through it so that it does not stick to each other. Keep aside.
Heat the remaining oil in a kadai. Add whole garam masala and saute it. Add onion and green chillies. Saute it till onion turns golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and saute it for a min. Add chopped veggies and sauté it till they get cooked. Add Garam masala powder. Add salt and check for seasoning. Mix in the cooked vermicelli. Add the lemon juice and garnish it with coriander leaves.
