Banana Halwa
http://tanyasrecipez.blogspot.com/2013/09/banana-halwa.html
Today i had a good heavy lunch and one can never feel satisfied if it is not followed by some sweet dish. But i was also very tired to make something for myself to eat. I then remembered this recipe which i had seen on a website. It is so simple to make with less ingredients that i actually could make up my mind to go back to kitchen. I must say it did satisfy my taste buds.:)
Ingredients
Banana – 4 ripe and big ones - pureed
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Sugar – to taste
Walnuts – 2 tbsp- chopped
Cinnamon powder – a pinch
Cardamom powder – a pinch
Method
Take a non stick pan and add 1 tbsp ghee. Once it is hot add banana puree. Cook it on a medium flame. Keep stirring it. The banana puree will start changing color Add sugar and give it a mix. Keep cooking till the banana mixture turns brown. Once it is cooked completely the Halwa will start leaving the pan. Add walnuts, cinnamon powder and cardamom powder. Add another tbsp of ghee and give it a mix. Take off the heat. Serve hot.
My Notes
ü The amount of sugar will depend on the sweetness of bananas.
