Chicken – ½ kg
Green chillies – 5 (ground into coarse paste)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Cumin powder – ¾ tsp
Garam masala powder – ¾ tsp
Yogurt – ½ cup
Oil – 3 tbsp
Kasoori methi – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing
In a bowl add ground green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, salt and yogurt and give it a mix. Marinate chicken in this mixture and leave it in the refrigerator for an hour.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add the marinated chicken and cook. Add water if needed. Cover and cook till done. Now uncover the lid and add kasoori methi and pepper powder. Saute for a while on high flame if there is any extra water left. Take off the heat. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
