Prawns – 1/2 kg
Oil – 4 tbsp
Black peppercorns – 12
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Methi seeds – ½ tsp
Dry red chilies - 10
Coconut – ½ cup – grated
Onion – 2 medium
Curry leaves – 15
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Tomatoes – 2 medium
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Grind peppercorns, cumin seeds, methi seeds, dry red chilies, coconut and water into a fine paste.
Heat oil and add onion to the pan. Saute till it turns golden brown. Add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste and saute. Add tomatoes and cook till oil separates. Add the ground paste and saute. Add some water and salt and cook till oil floats on top. Add prawns and cook till done. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
